About this jacket

A burgundy leather bomber jacket in size XL, trimmed at the collar with corduroy and closed off by a knitted rib hem, with olive lining running through the body. That corded neck is the giveaway on age, because nobody builds a collar that way now.

Bought in as one garment rather than a bulk lot, then professionally cleaned, conditioned and graded. We publish flat measurements instead of leaning on a size label, so measure a jacket that already fits you and read ours against it.

It grades Very Good. Marks come with a jacket of this age, and wherever there are any they appear in the photographs at full size, not cropped away at the edge.

Returns

You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to let us know you want to return it, and 14 more days to send it back. The jacket must come back unworn and in the same condition, with any tags still attached.

Return postage is paid by the buyer unless the item was faulty or wrongly supplied. Once it reaches us and passes a quick check, we refund to your original payment method.

What happened before this was listed

  1. Sourced Bought as a single garment from an estate sale, dealer or private seller, chosen for the condition of the hide rather than the label in the collar.
  2. Cleaned Deep cleaned and conditioned so the leather moves again, without stripping the colour it has settled into.
  3. Repaired Where stitching, hardware or a lining needed work, it was put right before listing: seams restitched by hand, hardware replaced like for like, linings repaired or renewed.
  4. Graded Inspected panel by panel and graded honestly. Anything beyond normal vintage wear is written into the listing.
  5. Photographed Shot under consistent light. The photographs form part of the description, so what you see is what will arrive.
