Questions, answered
Buying a garment that exists once raises different questions to buying off a shelf. These are the ones we are asked most.
Before you buy
Every listing carries flat measurements taken across the garment: chest, length, shoulder and sleeve. Lay a jacket you already wear flat, measure it the same way, and compare the numbers rather than the label size. Vintage sizing moves by decade and by maker, so the tag is the least reliable guide.
If a measurement you need is not on the listing, ask and we will take it that day.
No. These are genuine vintage and pre-owned leather garments, sourced worldwide and restored by hand. They are not reproductions and they are not branded goods sold on. What you are buying is the hide, the cut and the work that went into bringing it back.
Each jacket is bought as a single garment, in a single size, from dealers, estate sales and private sellers worldwide. There is no second one in the back. When a listing sells, the page goes dark and stays dark.
These are vintage garments. Expect patina: softening at the elbows, creasing at the cuffs, slight colour variation, occasional marks in the hide. That character is the point, and it is not a fault when it has been shown.
Anything that goes beyond normal wear is photographed close up and written into the description before the jacket is listed.
Delivery
Orders are processed and dispatched within 3 business days of payment unless the product page says otherwise. Orders placed at the weekend or on a public holiday are processed on the next business day. You receive confirmation and tracking details, where available, once the parcel leaves us.
United Kingdom: 1 to 5 business days after dispatch.
International: 5 to 20 business days after dispatch.
These are estimates from the courier, not guarantees. Customs processing and peak periods can extend them.
Yes. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination, package size and service, and is shown in full before you pay.
Customs duties, import taxes, VAT and handling fees charged by the destination country are the customer's responsibility. We have no control over those charges and cannot predict them.
Returns and refunds
Yes. You have 14 days from receiving the item to tell us you want to cancel, and a further 14 days from that point to send it back.
The jacket must come back in the condition it arrived: unworn beyond reasonable inspection, free from new damage, stains, odours or alterations, with any original tags or packaging. Return postage is yours unless the item was faulty or wrongly supplied.
Contact us within 14 days of delivery. If the parcel itself arrived damaged, get in touch within 48 hours and send photographs of the packaging, the shipping label and the item.
Where an item is confirmed faulty, not as described or incorrectly supplied, you are entitled to a remedy under your statutory rights, which may be a repair, a replacement, a partial refund or a full refund. In those cases we cover reasonable return postage.
Within 14 days of us receiving the returned item, or of you providing proof that it was sent back. Original standard delivery charges are refunded where the law requires it. We may deduct from a refund where the item's value has been reduced by handling beyond what is needed to inspect it.
None of this affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
The team
We do, by hand. Cleaning, conditioning, stitching and hardware work are all done before a jacket goes anywhere near a listing. Every piece is then checked again at our UK office and photographed there.
