Burgundy Leather Harrington Jacket, Vertical Welt Pocket

Long vertical welt pockets are the defining detail on this XL burgundy leather harrington jacket, dropping down from a horizontal yoke seam across the chest rather than sitting slanted at the hip. They keep the front reading as two clean panels, and they put your hands higher up the body than a side entry would.

Fastening is a single straight zip running up the centre front, with a pointed shirt collar above it. Both pocket welts open just below the yoke seam. Along the hem there is a wide leather waistband, topstitched across its depth and drawn in by a tab at each hip, and the cuffs are plain leather as well, so nothing on this one is finished in knitted rib. The lining is taupe-grey.

Before the listing went live it was professionally cleaned and conditioned, the zip checked along its full length, every panel seam and the topstitching gone over, the lining looked over for splits. It is measured, graded, photographed, packed and posted from Doncaster. Sizing second-hand leather by label alone rarely works, so the flat measurements sit in their own table on this page: chest pit to pit, waist, shoulder to shoulder, sleeve length and collar to hem. Compare them against a jacket you already own before you commit.

Creasing is heavy and covers the whole hide. Where those creases ridge up, the finish has worn back to a lighter, glossier tone, and that shows most across the front body, over the waistband and around the cuffs, so the colour reads as broken rather than even. Structurally it has held: seams and topstitching are intact, the zip is present and complete, and the taupe-grey lining is clean and unstained with no tears or holes visible anywhere.
