Burgundy Leather Harrington Jacket, Buttoned Chest Flap

Buttoned flap pockets ride high across the chest of this burgundy leather harrington jacket, one on each side, and they land on the eye well before the zip or the collar do. Each carries its own flap and its own button, so the chest holds some structure instead of sitting flat.

Above them the neck finishes in a pointed shirt collar, and the front fastens on a straight centre zip running the full centre line. No knitted rib features anywhere on it: the waistband is shirred elasticated leather and the cuffs match, so the shape draws in on the hide itself rather than on a woollen band. Inside, the body is lined in cream cotton with a ticking stripe, and a small red woven label is stitched at the neck.

The leather was professionally cleaned and conditioned, the zip run top to bottom and each button on the flaps checked. This one was measured, graded, photographed, packed and posted from Doncaster. Fit is not left to the XXL on its own either: the jacket was laid out flat and measured across chest, waist, shoulder, sleeve and length, and those five figures sit in the measurements panel alongside the images. Hold them against something already hanging in your wardrobe and you will know exactly how this one will sit on you.

Wear here is real and plain to see. Heavy soft creasing runs the length of the body, over the chest and down both sleeves, the raised folds have taken a slight glaze, and there is faint lightening along the crease lines and across the shoulders. Colour stays even, a deep burgundy with no patchy fading on any panel. Nothing torn, nothing split, no scuffing and no hardware missing: the zip, both pocket flaps and every button are present and intact, and the cream lining photographs clean and bright with no staining or holes in any frame.
