Plain across the front, straight at the hem, with a shirt collar that lies flat once the zip is down. This burgundy leather vintage jacket in size XL is the understated one of the batch, and it works precisely because there is nothing on it competing for attention.

Every piece we take in is handled the same way. This one was bought on its own, then professionally cleaned and conditioned before it was measured, graded, photographed, packed and posted from Doncaster. Flat measurements are printed further down the page, so hold them against something already hanging in your wardrobe before you order.

Graded Very Good. Any wear on the surface sits in the photographs, close range shots included, because a colour this deep shows a mark and we would rather you found it here than on the doorstep.

Returns

You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to let us know you want to return it, and 14 more days to send it back. The jacket must come back unworn and in the same condition, with any tags still attached.

Return postage is paid by the buyer unless the item was faulty or wrongly supplied. Once it reaches us and passes a quick check, we refund to your original payment method.

What happened before this was listed

  1. Sourced Bought as a single garment from an estate sale, dealer or private seller, chosen for the condition of the hide rather than the label in the collar.
  2. Cleaned Deep cleaned and conditioned so the leather moves again, without stripping the colour it has settled into.
  3. Repaired Where stitching, hardware or a lining needed work, it was put right before listing: seams restitched by hand, hardware replaced like for like, linings repaired or renewed.
  4. Graded Inspected panel by panel and graded honestly. Anything beyond normal vintage wear is written into the listing.
  5. Photographed Shot under consistent light. The photographs form part of the description, so what you see is what will arrive.
