About this jacket

The gold quilted lining is the reason to look twice at this burgundy leather vintage jacket. Size XXL, a wide shirt collar that sits open and flat, and a rib hem that stops the weight of the leather dragging the body down.

It was found as a single piece rather than part of a bulk lot. It has been professionally cleaned and conditioned, then measured, graded, photographed, packed and posted from Doncaster. Flat measurements follow, and putting them next to a jacket you already own beats guessing at a size label sewn in decades ago.

The grading came back Very Good. Any scuffing, creasing or wear along the seams was shot in daylight and left in the gallery.

Only one of these will ever be listed. Buy it and the page comes down, leave it and the decision passes to somebody else.

Returns

You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to let us know you want to return it, and 14 more days to send it back. The jacket must come back unworn and in the same condition, with any tags still attached.

Return postage is paid by the buyer unless the item was faulty or wrongly supplied. Once it reaches us and passes a quick check, we refund to your original payment method.

What happened before this was listed

  1. Sourced Bought as a single garment from an estate sale, dealer or private seller, chosen for the condition of the hide rather than the label in the collar.
  2. Cleaned Deep cleaned and conditioned so the leather moves again, without stripping the colour it has settled into.
  3. Repaired Where stitching, hardware or a lining needed work, it was put right before listing: seams restitched by hand, hardware replaced like for like, linings repaired or renewed.
  4. Graded Inspected panel by panel and graded honestly. Anything beyond normal vintage wear is written into the listing.
  5. Photographed Shot under consistent light. The photographs form part of the description, so what you see is what will arrive.
