Burgundy Leather Harrington Jacket, Fireman Clasp

Three silver fireman clasps close the front of this burgundy leather harrington jacket, each hook dropping into its own loop so the whole front shuts with a flick rather than a zip pull. The placket runs straight down the centre with no zip teeth showing, which leaves the silver as the only real detail on an otherwise plain front.

Above the top clasp sits a pointed shirt collar with a small red woven label stitched at the neck. A snap stud anchors the bottom of the placket, angled welt pockets are cut into the sides at hand height, and the cuffs fasten with snap tabs. There is no knitted rib anywhere on it: the hem is leather with elastic run through it, gathering the body in at the waist. Lining is plain brown throughout.

Everything sold here is professionally cleaned and conditioned first. All three clasps worked open and shut, cuff snaps tested, then the jacket measured, graded, photographed, packed and posted from Doncaster. The tape goes across chest, waist, shoulder, sleeve and length. Those five figures are listed beside this description. It is a size L, but on second-hand pieces the flat inches are the honest guide, so hold them against something already hanging in your wardrobe.

Wear on this one reads as soft creasing rather than damage: lines across the body, folds through the chest yoke, more at the sleeve heads where the arms have moved. Shoulders and lower sleeves carry a faint sheen from use. Colour is even across the hide, with no tears, holes or patched repairs anywhere on it. Elastic in the hem still pulls its gather in, the brown lining is whole with no splits along the front edges, and all three clasps plus the cuff snaps are present and bright.

Only one of these exists in the shop, and once it sells the page goes dark.
