About this jacket

A burgundy leather flight jacket in size M, cut the classic way, with knitted rib at the hem and on both cuffs and a satin lining running through the body. The rib is what holds the shape, pulling the waist in so the chest sits full above it.

One jacket, bought on its own, put through the same routine as everything else we handle: professionally cleaned and conditioned, then measured, graded, photographed, packed and posted from Doncaster. The flat measurements below came straight off the tape, and they are worth setting against a jacket that already fits you.

Very Good is the grade. Vintage leather carries its history on the surface, and whatever this one carries has been photographed close up.

There is a single example of this jacket and no way to make another. When it goes, the listing goes with it.

Returns

You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to let us know you want to return it, and 14 more days to send it back. The jacket must come back unworn and in the same condition, with any tags still attached.

Return postage is paid by the buyer unless the item was faulty or wrongly supplied. Once it reaches us and passes a quick check, we refund to your original payment method.

What happened before this was listed

  1. Sourced Bought as a single garment from an estate sale, dealer or private seller, chosen for the condition of the hide rather than the label in the collar.
  2. Cleaned Deep cleaned and conditioned so the leather moves again, without stripping the colour it has settled into.
  3. Repaired Where stitching, hardware or a lining needed work, it was put right before listing: seams restitched by hand, hardware replaced like for like, linings repaired or renewed.
  4. Graded Inspected panel by panel and graded honestly. Anything beyond normal vintage wear is written into the listing.
  5. Photographed Shot under consistent light. The photographs form part of the description, so what you see is what will arrive.
