Four patch pockets are set across the front of this burgundy leather flight jacket, and a knitted rib hem gathers the body in below them. Drop the zip and the lining shows olive satin.

Jackets arrive here one at a time, never by the crate. This one was professionally cleaned and conditioned, then measured, graded, photographed, packed and posted from Doncaster. Its flat measurements sit further down the page, and the honest way to buy at a distance is to lay your own jacket out and compare them.

The grade is Very Good. Leather this old creases and softens where a body has moved in it, and whatever it carries has been photographed rather than described around.

  1. Sourced Bought as a single garment from an estate sale, dealer or private seller, chosen for the condition of the hide rather than the label in the collar.
  2. Cleaned Deep cleaned and conditioned so the leather moves again, without stripping the colour it has settled into.
  3. Repaired Where stitching, hardware or a lining needed work, it was put right before listing: seams restitched by hand, hardware replaced like for like, linings repaired or renewed.
  4. Graded Inspected panel by panel and graded honestly. Anything beyond normal vintage wear is written into the listing.
  5. Photographed Shot under consistent light. The photographs form part of the description, so what you see is what will arrive.
