Burgundy Leather Field Jacket, Chrome Hook Clasp

Four chrome hook-and-eye clasps run down the front of this burgundy leather field jacket, closing over a centre zip so the fastening reads as a row of polished metal rather than a bare zip tape.

Above them sits a stand collar with a throat-latch tab, which can be done right up at the neck or left hanging open. Four flap pockets close on press studs, and a buckle tab on each side of the waist pulls the fit in or lets it sit loose. The lining is olive, with a charcoal jersey panel set into it. There is no knitted rib anywhere, so the cuffs and hem finish in plain leather.

A hand clean and a conditioning treatment happen before listing. Every clasp, stud and buckle is then checked at our Doncaster office. The label reads XL, but sizing on second-hand leather is rarely worth trusting on its own, so the jacket has been laid flat and measured across chest, waist, shoulder, sleeve and length. Those numbers sit in the measurements panel further down the page, and they are the ones to hold against a jacket you already wear.

Wear on it is honest and easy to see. Body and sleeves are heavily creased and broken in throughout, with lighter surface rubbing and colour softening across the elbows, along the front fold lines and around the hem edges. The lower pocket edges carry some abrasion. All four clasps, the press studs and both waist buckles are present, and the olive lining and red label are intact with no visible tears.
