About this jacket

Stripped back to the essentials, this burgundy leather cafe racer jacket holds a clean front with nothing breaking the line, a band collar at the throat, and pockets set in so they all but disappear. Size L.

It was found, bought, then professionally cleaned and conditioned, and the whole jacket judged on what we could see rather than on what a label claimed. Sizing from this period wanders badly, so the flat measurements set out below are the part to trust. Take a tape to something in your own wardrobe and put the two sets of numbers side by side.

Very Good is the grade. The finish has taken a low sheen across the shoulders and the zip pull shows its years, both of which sit in the photographs where you can look at them properly.

Bought as a one of one and sold the same way. Nothing replaces it, and the listing goes dark the day it leaves.

Sourced Bought as a single garment from an estate sale, dealer or private seller, chosen for the condition of the hide rather than the label in the collar.
Cleaned Deep cleaned and conditioned so the leather moves again, without stripping the colour it has settled into.
Repaired Where stitching, hardware or a lining needed work, it was put right before listing: seams restitched by hand, hardware replaced like for like, linings repaired or renewed.
Graded Inspected panel by panel and graded honestly. Anything beyond normal vintage wear is written into the listing.
